There will be no rehearsal at ACU this evening or on Monday. Instead, we’re combining Choir and Orchestra on Wednesday, June 4, and Wednesday, June 11.

WED JUNE 4
Location: Music Room, building 420, level LG, room 20 (held here due to exams).
Getting there: The easiest way to find the room is to enter via 115B Victoria Parade* (building 421). Turn LEFT — do not go up the escalator. Keep following the walls around to the left into the adjacent building 420. From an open area (you’ll see lift doors to your right), keep going down a little corridor — keep turning left until reaching Room 20 at the end. (If you go to the GYM or the TOILETS, return because you passed the little corridor).

*Alternatively, if entering via the rear of the building through the cafeteria, take the lift opposite the concierge desk down to level LG. The little corridor mentioned above will be to your left when you exit the left side.

6:00 PM set up
6:15 PM choir and orchestra — combined pieces
7:30 PM break (refreshments provided)
7:45 PM Orchestra continues in the Music Room. Choir will move to a different room (TBA — possibly the Chapel, depending on exam locations)
8:30 PM end

WED JUNE 11
Location: Recital Room, building 408, Level G, room 11 (Graham St).
Similar schedule as per June 4

SAT JUNE 14 & 21, 1-4 pm
Recital Hall, choirs combined with orchestra.

WED JUNE 25
6-9 PM, Recital Hall — combined choirs with Indonesian choir (especially lots of work on Janger!)

FRI JUNE 27
Venue: St Patrick’s Cathedral
3PM(TBC) dress rehearsal
5:30(TBC) break
7:00 PM performance
8:30 PMish end, pack up

SAT JUNE 28
Venue: Preston Market
3 PM-ish – set up
4 PM – tech rehearsal
5 PM – break
6 PM – performance
7:30 PMish – end, pack up
8:00 PM – After Party at Street Taste (Mexican restaurant/bar, 379 High St, Preston, 4 min walk from the market)

Additional resources are coming soon, such as a compressed version of Mvt II: A Thought Storm, individual part tracks for You Will Be Found, and the “reduced” version of Janger. (Now that semester 1 classes have finished at ACU, I have time to work on these.)

THIS DAY
This will be our concert finale. I’m working on adding some instruments to the end, along with a key change into the third (final) page. (NOTE: Firework has been dropped from the program).
